The Roanoke County School Board has named Dr. Jamie Soltis as the next superintendent of Roanoke County Public Schools, effective July 1, 2026. Dr. Soltis will succeed Dr. Ken Nicely, who announced his retirement in September 2025 after a 35-year career in education and 33 total years with RCPS.
